Obituary for Samuel Alan Lemmons

Samuel Alan Lemmons was born to Michael Bruce Lemmons and Janice “Kaye” (Moss) Erdmann on March 22, 1976 in Tucson, Arizona. He was taken too soon at the age of 41 on February 7, 2018.

Sam had a way of putting people at ease; with his infectious smile and mischievous sense of humor, people gravitated towards him and always left his company feeling better. He doted on his nephews and never missed an opportunity to play with them. Sam was a true Patriot, having served his country with the United States Army. He also was a true man of faith, serving as a Missionary in Nepal and Zambia. Sam was a huge OU football fan. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and attending Houston Astros games. Sam was a great cook, and he loved to eat.

Sam was preceded in death by: maternal grandparents Elmer and Imogene Moss; and paternal grandparents Lester Orville and Georgia Arley (Epperson) Lemmons. He is survived by: mother Janice “Kaye” Erdmann of Norman; father Mike Lemmons and wife Reba of Fall Brook, CA; step-father Phil Erdmann of Spring, TX; sister Jennifer Lea of Norman; sister Rachel Erdmann of The Woodlands, TX; nephews Kellen, Kasen, Karter, and Keaton Lea; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a host of extended family and friends.
